Dominic Cummings has given an interview to Kamal Ahmed in the Telegraph about the sclerotic British state. It's the usual critique that by now we're all familiar with, but cannot be repeated often enough.

According to Police Scotland, the police aim to ensure "everyone is able to flourish knowing they are valued for their true and authentic selves". No wonder they're so useless at fighting crime, says Dr David McGrogan.

The anti-Trump No Kings protests cling to a '3.5% Rule' that claims tiny minorities can topple tyrants. It's yet another ridiculous generalisation by a political scientist, says Prof James Alexander.

We Need A Real Alternative

The Fianna Fail government has destoryed itself -unfortunately not before it has virtually destroyed the country. The question now is what is the alternative?

For all their talk Fine Gael and Labour really offer more of the same - attacks on working people and the poor to pay for the crisis and crimes of the bankers. Only the new United Left Alliance stands for a real change.

-Get rid of Anglo, AIB, BOI and the rest of the crooks. Set up one good state bank to serve the people.
-Make the bondholders pay -Tax the super-rich
-Get rid of the IMF
-No to all cuts - defend our services

Nicola Curry is a member of People Before Profit and is the United Left Alliance candidate for the Dublin South Constituency.

She is a working mother from Ballyogan and been acive in local and national campaigns to defend the environment and the rights of the ordinary working people.

She is endorsed by Joe Higgins MEP, Cllr Richard Boyd Barrett from Dun Laoghaire from Dun Laoghaire and Cllr Joan Collins and Brid Smith

If elected, she will work with other United Left Allliance members to bring real change in this constituency and this country

And like other United Left Alliance candidates she will take only the average working wage -not the mercs and perks we have come to expect of the usual political parties and politicians

Come and hear her outline the United Left Alliance's real alternative for working people
