The Garden Movie "From the ashes of the L.A. riots arose a lush, 14-acre community garden, the largest of its kind in the United States. Now bulldozers threaten its future. Can it grow in the shadow o

Food Action invites you to a food and film evening, this Tuesday 18th January at 7pm in Seomra Spraoi. All welcome!

"From the ashes of the L.A. riots arose a lush, 14-acre community garden, the largest of its kind in the United States. Now bulldozers threaten its future. Can it grow in the shadow of corruption and greed?"

We'll be providing a vegan meal before the film (donations gratefully accepted!) Food Action is a non-profit whole food club, whose aim is to provide its members/community with ecologically, sustainably, ethically and locally produced foods.

A chance to see this story of the life of the South L.A community garden which ,located in a broadly speaking Latino,black community, gives the people living there food, medicinal herbs,social space and meaning through their participation. But look the property developers and the government have other plans, what will happen..?

come and meet folk that care and cat about their food supply,land and liberty.
