A Global Audience for the Irish Animal Education Trust.

category national | education | event notice author Monday September 13, 2010 19:34author by RogY Report this post to the editors

Critical Education about Human-Animal Relations in Ireland.

Irish Animal Education Trust (IAET) founder is featured as special guest on the global animal advocacy site, Animal Rights Zone.

Paul Vogel, founder of the Irish Animal Education Trust, explained his educational philosophy and approach to a world-wide audience on ARZone this last weekend. Mr. Vogel fielded questions about the origins of the educational trust, what sort of information children have traditionally been given about animals in Irish schools, questions about the differences between rural and urban Ireland, and answered queries about the Trust's "no-dig" veganic allotment project in Dublin.

The lively two-hour session is now transcribed on the ARZone site, along with other transcriptions of guest "chats" by animal rights philosopher Gary Francione, "World Peace Diet" author Will Tuttle, feminist Carol Adams and social psychologist Melanie Joy.

Paul Vogel's guest transcript can be seen here: http://www.arzone.net/Paul-Vogel-Transcript

This was an informative and interesting session. As an educator in Australia, I found Mr Vogel's experience and information very useful, and will be implementing some of his ideas in my interactions with school age children.

The IAET are doing vitally important work in Ireland, and it was an honour to be able to speak with Paul Vogel about this work and the "No-dig vegan allotment" the IAET have.

Hopefully, the IAET continue to receive the support they deserve and are able to reach more and more children with their message.
