Jump To Comment: 1 2 3The DUP motion opposing rights for homosexuals was defeated after a 39 votes to 39 tie. Under Assembly rulesa the vote of a deceased MLA can be cast while the process of a new appointment is underway and so it was Michael Ferguson's vote that defeated the motion. Hard to think of a more fitting tribute to the man.
..... Sinn Fein. I agree, a fitting tribute. Unionist bigotry bites the dust.. on this one.
It's important that the bigots are continually exposed and defeated. If they had their way, burning at the stake would still be an option against decent people who can at least acknowledge that we live in the 21st Century and should be striving for a more equal society for people of all beliefs and persuasions.
