Campaigning against Fur

The Coalition to Abloish the Fur Trade (CAFT) are a peaceful, grassroots level organisation that campaigns to end the fur trade here in Ireland.

Based in Dublin, we hold regular demonstartions outside shops and department stores that sell fur, such as Barnado Furs, Brown Thomas, Rohu Furs and many more. In the past we have successfully gotten fur removed from many shops such as: Soar and The House of Ireland at Dublin Airport, and Dunnes Stores.

We are currently campaigning to close Barnardo Furs on Grafton Street, and trying to persuade Brown Thomas department store to adopt a fur-free policy.

Ive just been looking at the pictures of your protest on Grafton street and I think you are doing a great thing, I read an article about dog fur here --- http://portal.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/12/18/nfur18.xml
The fur trade is absolutely disguisting and Its good to see people out doing something about it.

I was shocked to read the article about cat and dog fur - how disguisting - i have a cat and dog and the idea of somebody doing that to them makes me sick. I am glad there is a campaign going and I think your group are doing something great. I am going to send you a donation to help with your campaign. I only wish I could get out and help more. Keep up the good work.
