Below are a number of soundscape compositions. These sounds were captured at various locations around Ireland. They contain sounds of transportation, nature, people, machinery, nature and musical instruments. These tracks are a snapshot of the technical and artistic elements involved when creating soundscape compositions. The sounds are designed to sharpen ones aural awareness and understanding of the sounds/noise we hear. The captured sound is not simply a passive recording, but was affected by the specific time of recording in that place, as well as choices, gestures, and perspectives.
